Hybrid Stereo Integrated Amplifier • Pure Class A Tube Input and Driver Stages • 150 Watts per Channel into 8 Ohms • Balanced and Unbalanced Inputs • Home Theater Bypass • Dual Bi-Wiring Outputs
The Unison Research Unico 150 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier combines the tonal richness and dimensional presentation of vacuum tubes with the control, current delivery and speaker-driving capability of a powerful solid-state output stage. Its streamlined three-stage signal path uses ECC83 and 6H30 tubes operating in pure Class A before handing the signal directly to a thermostable Class AB HEXFET power section.
Rated at 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the Unico 150 is designed to drive demanding high-performance loudspeakers while preserving fine detail, natural texture and dynamic contrast. Its flexible connection options include balanced and unbalanced sources, a dedicated bypass input, fixed and variable line outputs and dual speaker terminals for bi-wiring.
Pure Class A ECC83 Input Stage — A double-triode totem-pole input circuit provides the initial voltage amplification while preserving low-level musical detail and natural harmonic structure.
Pure Class A 6H30 Driver Stage — The robust 6H30 double triodes directly drive the output section, helping maintain speed, control and signal integrity without adding unnecessary gain stages.
Thermostable HEXFET Output Stage — Four complementary MOSFET pairs per channel operate in Class AB to provide substantial current delivery and stable performance across changing loudspeaker loads.
Minimal Global Feedback Design — The amplifier uses no global negative feedback while applying localized feedback within individual stages to support stability, bandwidth and musical coherence.
The Unico 150 is a hybrid integrated amplifier. It uses ECC83 and 6H30 vacuum tubes in its input and driver stages, followed by a high-power solid-state HEXFET output stage.
No dedicated phono stage is listed among the standard inputs. A separate moving-magnet or moving-coil phono preamplifier is required when connecting most turntables.
Yes. Its unbalanced bypass input routes the signal directly to the amplifier section while bypassing the source selector and volume control, allowing an AV processor or receiver to control the front-channel level.
The supplied infrared remote control adjusts volume up or down. Source selection is performed using the selector control on the amplifier’s front panel.
Source components, phono preamplifier, interconnect cables, speaker cables and loudspeakers are sold separately.
