All-Tube Stereo Integrated Amplifier • Switchable Triode and Ultralinear Operation • 50 Watts per Channel • Gold Lion KT77 Output Tubes • Integrated High-Resolution DAC • Adjustable Tube Bias
The Unison Research Triode 25 Black Edition Integrated Amplifier combines traditional Italian tube-amplifier craftsmanship with updated circuitry, premium Gold Lion valves and an integrated digital-to-analog converter. Its push-pull Class AB output stage can operate in either ultralinear or triode mode, allowing listeners to choose between greater output and dynamic authority or a more intimate, harmonically rich presentation.
Ultralinear operation delivers up to 50 watts per channel, while triode mode provides 30 watts per channel for highly efficient loudspeakers and more focused listening. Three analog inputs and USB, coaxial and optical digital connections allow the Triode 25 Black Edition to serve as the centerpiece of a modern two-channel system without sacrificing the tactile controls, exposed valves and handcrafted character associated with Unison Research.
Push-Pull Class AB Output Stage — Four Gold Lion KT77 power valves operate in a push-pull configuration, providing the efficiency and current capability needed to drive a broad range of high-quality loudspeakers.
Triode and Ultralinear Modes — A front-panel control changes the output-valve operating configuration. Triode mode prioritizes tonal density and harmonic smoothness, while ultralinear operation uses a 60% transformer tap for increased power and dynamic range.
Relay Input Selection with Return GND Technology — Relay-based switching and carefully engineered ground paths help minimize unwanted noise, improve channel separation and protect low-level audio signals as they travel through the amplifier.
Integrated Digital Conversion — The internal DAC accepts USB, coaxial S/PDIF and Toslink optical sources, reducing the need for a separate converter while preserving the amplifier’s analog tube signal path.
Triode mode delivers 30 watts per channel and emphasizes tonal richness, smoothness and intimacy. Ultralinear mode delivers up to 50 watts per channel for increased dynamics, bass control and compatibility with less efficient loudspeakers.
Follow the instructions in the owner’s manual when changing operating modes. To protect the amplifier, tubes and loudspeakers, reduce the volume and use the manufacturer’s recommended switching procedure.
No dedicated phono preamplifier is specified. A turntable without a built-in phono stage will require a separate moving-magnet or moving-coil phono preamplifier.
Yes. The amplifier includes a stereo RCA subwoofer output that follows the main volume setting, allowing a compatible powered subwoofer to be integrated into the system.
Source components, turntable, phono preamplifier, digital cables, interconnects, speaker cables, loudspeakers and powered subwoofer are sold separately.
