Yes. The SL-1200G-S is an excellent platform for cartridge upgrades thanks to its stable speed behavior, robust tonearm design, and high-quality chassis construction.
You will need a cartridge (if not included), a phono preamp or phono input on your amplifier, and an appropriate surface or isolation solution. If you tell us your amplifier and speakers, we can recommend a complete matching path.
