The REL Acoustics Planar Cart-2 for PL-2 provides an elegant freestanding alternative to permanently mounting the Planar PL-2 Subwoofer on a wall. Designed as a natural extension of the Planar system, it allows the ultra-slim subwoofer to be positioned within the room while preserving the clean architectural appearance, scale and low-frequency performance for which the Planar series was created.
The Cart-2 is especially useful in open-plan rooms, multipurpose spaces, rental properties and installations where permanent wall mounting is not practical. Its wheels incorporate subtle resistance for controlled, deliberate repositioning, making it easier to experiment with placement and refine how the PL-2 interacts with the room, main speakers and listening position.
Purpose-Built PL-2 Platform — The REL Acoustics Planar Cart-2 for PL-2 is not a universal equipment stand. Its 28-inch width, structural proportions and mounting points are designed specifically for the dimensions and weight of the Planar PL-2 Subwoofer.
Scandinavian-Inspired Styling — Clean structural lines and understated proportions give the Cart-2 a furniture-inspired appearance. The design allows the PL-2 to remain visually integrated with modern living rooms, media spaces and open-plan interiors.
Placement Refinement — Subwoofer performance can change substantially with relatively small adjustments in location. The Cart-2 makes it easier to explore different positions during setup so the PL-2 can achieve smoother integration, stronger dimensionality and more balanced low-frequency response.
Controlled Mobility — Subtle resistance is built into the wheels to support careful, occasional movement rather than uncontrolled rolling. The Cart is intended for thoughtful setup adjustments and room optimization, not frequent or high-speed transportation.
No. The REL Acoustics Planar Cart-2 for PL-2 is sized for the larger Planar PL-2 Subwoofer. The Planar PL-1 requires the smaller Planar Cart-1 configuration.
No. REL engineered the Cart to maintain the PL-2’s intended performance and musicality while offering greater freedom in room placement. Final results will still depend on the subwoofer’s position and system setup.
Yes. The Cart-2 can be used in both two-channel music and home theater installations where flexible placement helps improve bass integration or avoids permanent wall mounting.
No. This product includes the dedicated Planar Cart-2 and its assembly hardware only. The REL Planar PL-2 Subwoofer, wood grille, cables and other accessories are sold separately.
REL Acoustics Planar PL-2 Subwoofer, anti-fall restraint system, Premium Wood Grille, signal cables and installation services are not included with the Cart-2.
