Its ultra-light Tancast 8 foam-core plinth receives a distinctive brushed aluminum metal-skin HPL finish, while the precision RB880 tonearm, CNC-machined twin-drive pulley and dual Reference EBLT belts elevate the drive system and tonearm architecture beyond the standard Planar 6.
Two factory-configured versions allow the Planar 6 RS to suit different analog systems. The Nd9 version features Rega's flagship Nd-series moving-magnet cartridge with a Fine Line nude diamond and boron cantilever. The moving-coil package substitutes the Ania MC cartridge and includes a matching Rega Fono MC phono stage, creating a complete factory-aligned moving-coil playback solution.

Ultra-Light Tancast 8 Plinth — Rega's design philosophy minimizes plinth mass while maximizing rigidity. The aerospace-derived Tancast 8 foam core is laminated with rigid HPL and, on the RS Edition, finished with a brushed aluminum metal skin and matching edging.
