This is a transport-only unit. It outputs digital audio and requires an external DAC (or an amplifier with a DAC) for playback.
It is designed to support Red Book CD-DA discs.
For universal compatibility, use coaxial or optical S/PDIF. If your DAC supports it, AES/EBU (XLR) is a robust balanced interface. I²S + Master Clock is intended for compatible Pro-Ject RS2-series components and is not a universal I²S standard across brands.
It prioritizes mechanical stability and resonance control, helping the transport read the disc with greater consistency under real-world vibration conditions.
Use a rigid, level surface. Keep it away from strong vibration sources (subwoofers, hollow cabinetry) and allow access above the unit for top-loading operation.
