Key Features & Innovations
Coaxial AL-MAC™ Tweeter & AL-MAG™ Midrange Array — the Paradigm Founder 90C Center Channel Speaker in Black Walnut integrates its 1-inch ceramic-coated dome tweeter coaxially within the 6-inch midrange cone to maintain acoustic point-source alignment for uniform off-axis dispersion across every seat.
Dual 7-inch CARBON-X™ Bass Woofers & Dual Passive Radiators — active carbon-fiber unibody woofers combined with passive radiators deliver lightning-fast low-end dynamic slam and deep bass extension down to 41Hz without port turbulence.
Advanced SHOCK-MOUNT™ Decoupling Hardware — mechanically isolates the drivers and enclosure using elastomeric mounts to prevent mechanical vibration transfer to the cabinet baffle.
Cascade-Fusion Braced Faceted Cabinet — heavy-duty cabinet in real Black Walnut wood veneer utilizes geometric side profiles to eliminate internal standing waves and increase overall cabinet rigidity.
Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA™) Lens — blocks out-of-phase sound waves generated across the driver cone for smoother frequency response and hyper-detailed vocal intelligibility.
FAQ — Founder 90C (Black Walnut)
Why is a coaxial 3-way driver layout ideal for a center channel speaker?
The coaxial design of the Paradigm Founder 90C Center Channel Speaker in Black Walnut aligns high and midrange frequencies along the exact same acoustic axis. This prevents horizontal lobing and phase cancellation, ensuring consistent dialogue clarity even when sitting far off to the side.
What size amplifier or AV receiver is recommended for the Founder 90C?
Paradigm recommends an amplifier or AV receiver outputting between 15 and 250 Watts continuous power per channel into 8 Ohms.
What purpose do the passive radiators serve?
The dual 7-inch passive radiators tune the internal cabinet air volume to extend bass response into low frequencies without requiring a open port, enabling cleaner cabinet placement near back walls or inside media cabinetry.
Where is the Paradigm Founder Series manufactured?
The Founder 90C is designed, engineered, and hand-built at Paradigm's state-of-the-art manufacturing headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
