The Onkyo Muse Y-50 80th Anniversary Special Edition Network Streamer & Integrated High-Power Amplifier combines streaming, digital conversion, analog source control and high-current stereo amplification in a compact commemorative design. Its fully digital signal architecture and Axign Class D amplifier with MOSFET output deliver 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms, providing the control and dynamic headroom needed for bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeakers.
Created to mark Onkyo’s 80th anniversary, this special edition draws inspiration from classic Integra components such as the M-588 power amplifier. Bordeaux walnut side panels, a champagne-gold aluminum front panel and a Japanese-inspired San Kuzushi ventilation pattern give the Y-50 a distinctive heritage appearance, while its 5.46-inch color display, modern streaming services, HDMI connectivity, MM/MC phono input and proprietary room correction make it a complete centerpiece for a contemporary stereo system.
Axign Class D Amplifier with MOSFET Output — The Onkyo Muse Y-50 80th Anniversary Special Edition uses a full digital circuit and an Axign Class D power stage equipped with MOSFET output devices. This efficient architecture delivers substantial power from a compact enclosure while preserving clarity, control and low-noise operation.
Onkyo Room EQ Calibration — Developed specifically for the Muse Series, Onkyo Room EQ measures the listening environment and adjusts the sound field to compensate for room-related response issues. Speaker settings and calibration options can be managed through the amplifier’s interface and Onkyo Controller app.
5.46-Inch Color Display — The large front-panel LCD displays source information, track metadata, system settings and analog-style VU meters. Its interface is designed to make source selection, playback management and system configuration accessible without sacrificing the Y-50’s streamlined appearance.
Rigid, Fanless Anniversary Chassis — The aluminum front panel adds structural rigidity and helps reduce the influence of loudspeaker-generated vibration. Precisely controlled thermal management eliminates the need for a cooling fan, while removable magnetic walnut side panels and the ventilated San Kuzushi top plate complete the special-edition design.
The Y-50 is rated at 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with both channels driven and 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms at 1kHz. It is compatible with speakers rated between 4 and 16 ohms.
Yes. The Onkyo Muse Y-50 80th Anniversary Special Edition Network Streamer & Integrated High-Power Amplifier includes a dedicated phono input with a rear-panel selector for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges.
Yes. The Y-50 includes one HDMI input for compatible source devices and one HDMI output with ARC for connection to a television. Supported HDMI features include 4K/120Hz, 8K/60Hz, VRR, QFT, ALLM, QMS, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
The Y-50 supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, Google Cast and network music-server playback. It can connect through Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet and can be controlled using the Onkyo Controller app.
Loudspeakers, speaker cables, HDMI cables, Ethernet cable, turntable, subwoofer, source components and professional installation services are sold separately.
