The Onkyo Icon M-80 Power Amplifier is the dedicated “muscle” in Onkyo’s Icon Series, built to drive real-world loudspeakers with speed, control, and clean current delivery. Its three-stage Inverted Darlington output design is engineered for very low output impedance, while low negative feedback helps keep the presentation resolving and stable with demanding speaker loads.
For listeners who want effortless dynamics without harshness, the driver stage employs DIDRC (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry) to reduce ultra-high-frequency noise and preserve a more natural, analog-like ease.
3-stage Inverted Darlington output — engineered for low output impedance and authoritative speaker control.
DIDRC low-noise driver stage — reduces beat-generated noise in the ultra-high frequency band to support a smoother, more natural presentation.
Vibration-conscious construction — a three-piece housing (two aluminum side panels with a steel top panel) is designed to increase rigidity and suppress vibration.

The M-80 is for listeners who already have (or plan to add) a dedicated preamp/streaming preamp and want more headroom, current delivery, and control than an all-in-one solution typically provides.
It is rated at 130W per channel (FTC, 8Ω, 20Hz–20kHz) and 200W per channel (4Ω, 1kHz) with both channels driven.
Use XLR if your preamp supports balanced output, or RCA for unbalanced systems. Add the 12V trigger for unified power control.
