The Onkyo Icon A-50 Network Integrated Amplifier is designed to be a complete, modern two-channel hub: serious power amplification, onboard digital conversion, network streaming, and room correction in a single, fan-less chassis. Onkyo’s patented DIDRC (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry) is used in the analog filter of the DAC to help reduce very-high-frequency noise from digital sources for a cleaner, more comfortable sound.
Built for real systems: a rigid 5mm-thick extruded aluminum front panel, an “oval chassis” with press lines to help disperse vibration, and high-quality power-supply parts intended to reduce vibration and signal degradation.
Class AB amplification — a traditional hi-fi topology designed to balance control, musicality, and efficiency.
DIDRC analog filtering — a high slew-rate circuit in the DAC’s analog filter stage designed to reduce noise in very high frequency bands of digital sources.
Fan-less operation — eliminates fan noise for quieter critical listening.
Connectivity for mixed systems — supports analog sources, digital inputs, HDMI ARC for TV audio, and network casting/streaming.
Dirac Live® Room Correction is built-in to help correct room-related frequency issues and improve clarity. Onkyo notes an optional license purchase is available for the full version.
