The Michell Record Clamp is a precision clamp designed to improve vinyl playback by firmly coupling the record to the platter. Its black Delrin body matches the resonance characteristics of vinyl, while the anodized aluminum knob allows you to apply controlled, uniform pressure.
By evening out small warps and reducing unwanted resonances, it helps improve tracking stability, reduce distortion, and enhance overall sound clarity. Compatible with many straight-spindle turntables — especially Michell’s own GyroDec and TecnoDec.
Collet-Based Clamping Mechanism — When you turn the top knob, a split collet tightens around the spindle, applying even radial pressure to secure the record.
Material Choice — Delrin & Aluminum — Delrin (POM) is chosen for its low mass and resonance properties similar to vinyl, while the anodized aluminum knob provides durability without excessive weight.
Low Mass Design — At around 70 grams, it doesn’t overly burden suspension turntables.
Spindle Compatibility — Available in two versions: Standard (fits 6.5 mm or larger spindles) or “R” for shorter spindles (≥ 5 mm), making it suitable for many brands.

Measure the height of your spindle above the record: use Standard if it's ≥ 6.5 mm, or the “R” version if it's 5–6.4 mm.
