All-in-One Hi-Fi Source • MA Player Streaming Platform • Dual AK4493SEQ DACs • Balanced Headphone Amplifier • HDMI ARC • XLR and RCA Outputs • Dedicated Subwoofer Output • NVMe SSD Expansion
The Matrix Audio TS-1 Music Streamer / DAC / Headphone Amplifier combines a high-resolution network player, fully balanced digital-to-analog converter, analog preamplifier and powerful discrete headphone amplifier within one compact chassis. Designed for headphone listeners and active-speaker systems, it provides direct access to streaming services, network libraries, USB storage, digital sources, television audio and analog components without requiring a rack full of separate equipment.
Dual AK4493SEQ DAC chips, dual femtosecond clocks and a symmetrical analog architecture support detailed, low-noise playback, while balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs simplify connection to powered speakers or a separate amplifier. The TS-1 also includes balanced and unbalanced headphone outputs, HDMI ARC, USB Audio, a dedicated subwoofer output, Wi-Fi 6, Gigabit Ethernet and an internal NVMe SSD slot for building a locally stored music library.
MA Player Hi-Fi Streaming Platform — The Matrix Audio operating system integrates compatible streaming services, internet radio, network storage, cloud storage and local playback. The MA Remote App provides browsing, playback and system control from compatible iOS and Android devices.
Fully Balanced Dual-DAC Design — Each audio channel uses a dedicated AK4493SEQ DAC with its internal converter sections operating in parallel. Independent low-noise power supplies support each DAC to help preserve resolution and reduce electrical interference.
Dual Femtosecond Clock System — Separate ultra-low-phase-noise clocks provide timing references for 44.1kHz- and 48kHz-based sample-rate families. FPGA-controlled clock management helps reduce jitter before digital-to-analog conversion.
Layered Analog and Digital Architecture — Digital and analog circuitry is arranged on separate PCB layers to reduce interference and improve heat management. The analog board uses a symmetrical left-and-right layout for consistent signal transmission through both channels.
Yes. The TS-1 includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs with adjustable output levels and volume control, allowing it to function as a streamer, DAC and preamplifier for compatible active speakers.
Yes. A dedicated RCA subwoofer output provides synchronized volume control with the main analog outputs. Its low-pass output is specified with a 150Hz cutoff frequency at −3dB.
Yes. The bottom panel includes an M.2 slot compatible with 2242, 2260 and 2280 NVMe PCIe solid-state drives. The installed drive can store a local library and may be accessed by other compatible devices over the network through SMB.
The TS-1 supports services and protocols including TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, internet radio, Roon Ready, Audirvana, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, QPlay and UPnP/DLNA. Availability and audio quality can vary by service, region and subscription.
Headphones, active speakers, powered subwoofer, NVMe SSD, external linear power supply, HDMI cable, USB cable, Ethernet cable, digital cables and analog interconnects are sold separately.
