The Marten Dexter Duo (Pair) redefines compact reference monitoring by combining Swedish cabinet artistry with pure ceramic driver engineering. Conceived to deliver the uncolored clarity and scale of Marten's flagship floorstanding series in a refined standmount format, this two-way reference loudspeaker pair utilizes an advanced 1-inch pure ceramic dome tweeter coupled with a 7-inch custom ceramic mid-bass driver. Fitted with handcrafted first-order crossover networks, ultra-pure Jorma Design internal cabling, and Marten's resonance-cancelling isolation footers, it yields holographic three-dimensional staging, effortless transient agility, and transparent timbral accuracy across the entire audio band.
Key Features & Innovations
Advanced Pure Ceramic Cell Driver Architecture — the Marten Dexter Duo (Pair) utilizes rigid, sapphire-hard ceramic diaphragms with ultra-high stiffness-to-weight ratios to virtually eliminate cone flexing and deliver lightning-fast transient response without coloration.
First-Order Acoustic Crossover Topology — engineered with an ultra-pure crossover network utilizing Mundorf components that preserves true phase coherence and seamless time-alignment between tweeter and woofer.
Internal Wiring by Jorma Design — entirely hand-wired using reference-grade, high-purity copper conductors from Swedish specialist Jorma Design, ensuring complete shielding from RF interference and uninhibited signal transfer.
Non-Resonant Laminated Cabinet Matrix — sculpted enclosure features multi-ply constrained-layer construction and non-parallel internal walls to eradicate cabinet resonance and internal standing reflections.
Custom Marten IsoPuck Decoupling System — integrated mechanical isolation pucks decouple the speaker enclosure from stands or furniture, absorbing mechanical vibrations and clarifying low-frequency articulation down to 36 Hz.
FAQ — Marten Dexter Duo
Does this package include two complete loudspeakers?
Yes. The Marten Dexter Duo (Pair) is packaged and sold as a complete, factory-matched stereo pair consisting of two mirror-inspected reference standmount loudspeakers.
What amplifier power is recommended for the Dexter Duo?
Marten recommends pairing the speakers with high-current stereo amplifiers or monoblocks capable of delivering between 40 and 200 Watts continuous power into 6 Ohms with high damping factor.
Can these standmount speakers be placed on shelves or desks?
While the integrated Marten isolation pucks allow resonance-damped placement on heavy furniture or consoles, dedicated mass-loaded speaker stands are recommended to align the ceramic tweeters at seated ear level.
Where are Marten loudspeakers engineered and built?
