The Marantz CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 AV Receiver combines nine channels of discrete amplification with 11.4-channel processing, advanced room correction and comprehensive 8K connectivity. Rated at 110 watts per channel into 8 ohms, it can directly power immersive configurations such as 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 and can expand to an eleven-speaker main-zone system by adding a compatible external two-channel power amplifier.
Developed as the successor to the original CINEMA 50, Series 2 introduces an upgraded high-performance 32-bit DAC for improved clarity, resolution and dynamic range. It also adds expanded support for contemporary entertainment formats and services, including 360 Reality Audio, MPEG-H Audio, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready operation and AMD FreeSync-compatible gaming, while preserving the Sound Master tuning, HDAM-SA2 circuitry and refined industrial design associated with Marantz.
Upgraded High-Performance 32-Bit DAC — The Marantz CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 AV Receiver features an updated digital-to-analog conversion stage developed to provide greater clarity, resolution and dynamic expression. A clock-jitter reduction system further supports accurate digital timing across connected HDMI, network, USB and digital-audio sources.
HDAM-SA2 and Current-Feedback Amplification — Proprietary Marantz Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules are paired with current-feedback topology and discrete output stages. This architecture is designed to provide fast transient response, broad bandwidth and the balanced, musical presentation established by Marantz Sound Master tuning.
Audyssey MultEQ XT32 and Dirac Live Upgradability — Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is included for automatic speaker measurement, distance, level, crossover and frequency-response correction. The receiver can also be upgraded with a separately purchased Dirac Live license for an alternative room-correction workflow.
Modern 8K HDMI and Gaming Platform — Six rear HDMI inputs support 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz pass-through at up to 40Gbps. Compatible gaming technologies include Variable Refresh Rate, Quick Frame Transport, Auto Low Latency Mode and AMD FreeSync on HDMI inputs four through six.

No. CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is upgradeable to Dirac Live, but the required Dirac license is sold separately. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 and the required Audyssey calibration microphone are included.
Loudspeakers, subwoofers, external power amplifier, HDMI cables, speaker cables, Ethernet cable, source components, Dirac Live license and professional installation services are sold separately.
