The M&K Sound M40T On-Wall Speaker (Pair) delivers an enveloping surround presentation while retaining the clarity and placement accuracy required for modern movie soundtracks. M&K Sound’s proprietary Tripole configuration combines a forward-facing woofer and tweeter with two side-mounted drivers, helping the speakers create both localized effects and a spacious, diffuse sound field.
Designed specifically for direct wall mounting, the ultra-slim sealed enclosures include integral rear brackets and damping pads for a secure, vibration-resistant installation. The M40T is voice matched with other M&K Sound M Series loudspeakers, making it an ideal surround or rear-channel solution for compact media rooms, dedicated theaters and immersive multichannel systems.
M&K Sound Tripole Configuration — A front-facing woofer and tweeter provide image specificity, while two side-mounted 3-inch drivers generate the spacious sound field expected from a high-performance surround speaker.
Phase-Focused Crossover Network — The 2kHz crossover is engineered to optimize the phase and time relationship between the drivers for natural transitions and coherent reproduction.

Tripole technology combines a forward-facing direct-radiating speaker array with drivers mounted on the sides of the enclosure. This design provides accurate directional effects while also creating a spacious and enveloping surround field.
The M40T speakers are designed for direct wall mounting and are commonly installed beside or behind the listening area as surround or rear-channel speakers. Final placement should be based on the room layout, seating arrangement and surround format.
M&K Sound recommends an amplifier rated between 25 and 125 watts per channel that is compatible with a nominal 4-ohm loudspeaker load.
Speaker wire, amplification, wall anchors, installation tools and construction materials may be sold separately.
