Key Features & Innovations
Handbuilt British Reference Quality — the KEF Reference 2 Meta Center Channel Speaker in High-Gloss Black/Grey is hand-assembled in Maidstone, UK, with individually lab-matched drivers for exact acoustic synergy with Reference standmount and floorstanding models.
Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™) — revolutionary maze-like absorption structure absorbs 99% of unwanted rearward tweeter distortion for transparent, crystal-clear dialogue and high frequencies.
Point-Source Uni-Q® Driver Array — 12th-generation Uni-Q driver places the tweeter at the exact acoustic center of the midrange cone, ensuring consistent off-axis dispersion across all seating positions.
Dual 6.5-Inch Bass Drivers — two high-excursion aluminum bass woofers with massive vented magnet assemblies deliver articulate low-frequency dynamics down to 40Hz.
Constrained Layer Damped Enclosure — heavily braced composite cabinet with fine-tunable flexible port tubes eliminates internal standing waves and mechanical flex.
