FAQ — Kube 8 MIE
Can the KEF Kube 8 MIE be connected wirelessly?
Yes, the KEF Kube 8 MIE 8-Inch Front-Firing Active Subwoofer includes a dedicated expansion port designed for the optional KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter kit, allowing uncompressed audio streaming without long interconnect cables.
How does the Kube 8 MIE compare to the larger Kube 10 MIE?
While sharing the same 300W Class D amplifier and MIE DSP suite, the Kube 8 MIE utilizes a smaller 8-inch driver and ultra-compact cabinet footprint, making it ideal for smaller rooms, apartments, or desktop setups where space is limited.
How do the room placement EQ settings work?
A rear-panel switch allows selection between Free Standing, Wall/Cabinet, or Corner placement modes, modifying the MIE DSP equalization curves to prevent boomy bass responses caused by room boundaries.
Is this subwoofer suitable for both music and movie setups?
Yes, the sealed cabinet design provides the quick speed and detail required for stereo music listening, while the 300W Class D amplifier provides energetic bass impact for multichannel movie tracks.
