FAQ — Kube 15 MIE
Can the KEF Kube 15 MIE be connected wirelessly?
Yes, the KEF Kube 15 MIE 15-Inch Front-Firing Active Subwoofer includes an expansion port designed for the optional KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter kit, allowing uncompressed audio transmission without long interconnect cables.
How does the Kube 15 MIE compare to the smaller Kube 12 MIE?
While sharing similar amplification and DSP technology, the flagship Kube 15 MIE utilizes a massive 15-inch driver and a larger cabinet enclosure, enabling it to move significantly more air for deeper bass extension (20Hz vs. 22Hz) and higher maximum SPL (116dB) in expansive rooms.
How do the room placement EQ settings work?
A rear-panel toggle switch lets you select between Free Standing, Wall/Cabinet, or Corner placement modes, adjusting the MIE DSP equalization curves to prevent unwanted boundary gain or boomy low-end performance.
Is this subwoofer suitable for both music and movie setups?
Yes, the sealed cabinet design yields the fast speed and articulate detail required for audiophile stereo music playback, while the 15-inch driver delivers deep, room-shaking dynamics for multichannel cinema soundtracks.
