Compact Active Desktop Speakers • 50-Watt RMS Bi-Amplified System • DSP-Tuned Sound • USB-C Audio • Bluetooth 5.0 • RCA Input • Automatic Subwoofer Crossover
The Kanto ORA Powered Reference Desktop Speakers (Pair) bridge the gap between everyday computer speakers and studio monitors, delivering accurate, engaging sound without overwhelming your workspace. Separate Class D amplifier channels power each 3-inch paper-cone woofer and 3/4-inch silk-dome tweeter, while onboard digital signal processing precisely manages the crossover and tonal response.
USB-C provides a direct digital connection for compatible computers, Bluetooth 5.0 supports convenient wireless listening, and the RCA input accommodates analog sources such as a DAC, gaming system or turntable with a phono preamplifier. Connect a powered subwoofer and ORA automatically activates a 100Hz high-pass and low-pass crossover, reducing the bass workload placed on the compact speakers while creating a smoothly integrated desktop system.
Four-Channel Class D Amplification — The 50-watt RMS amplifier is divided into four channels, supplying 16 watts to each woofer and 9 watts to each tweeter. This bi-amplified arrangement allows every driver to receive power optimized for its operating range.
DSP-Controlled Crossover — Onboard digital signal processing replaces a conventional passive crossover and precisely controls the frequencies delivered to each driver. The tuning is designed to provide accurate monitoring while remaining comfortable during long listening sessions.
Paper-Cone Woofer and Silk-Dome Tweeter — Each enclosure combines a magnetically shielded 3-inch paper-cone woofer with a 3/4-inch silk-dome tweeter. The driver pairing delivers clear vocals, natural instrument timbre and smooth high-frequency reproduction.
Automatic 100Hz Subwoofer Crossover — Connecting a cable to the subwoofer output automatically engages complementary high-pass and low-pass filters. ORA handles frequencies above 100Hz while the connected powered subwoofer reproduces bass below the crossover point.
No. The Kanto ORA Powered Reference Desktop Speakers (Pair) include built-in Class D amplification. Connect the active speaker to power, join the speakers with the supplied four-pin cable and select USB-C, RCA or Bluetooth as the source.
Yes. ORA includes a USB-C audio input for compatible computers and supports digital audio from a PC or Mac. Bluetooth 5.0 can also be used for wireless playback from computers, phones and tablets.
Yes, provided the turntable has a built-in phono preamplifier or is connected through an external phono preamp. ORA’s RCA connection is a line-level input and is not a dedicated phono input.
Kanto recommends placing the speakers upright, angled toward the listening position and approximately 8 to 10 inches from the wall so the rear bass-reflex ports can operate properly. They may also be placed horizontally when desktop space is limited.
USB-C cable, RCA audio cable, turntable, phono preamplifier, powered subwoofer, subwoofer cable and desktop stands are sold separately.
