FAQ — SCL-9XL
Is this speaker sold individually or as a pair?
This product listing is for a single (each) JBL Synthesis SCL-9XL 2.5-way Quadruple 5.25-inch Surface Mount Loudspeaker (Each). Please select the total quantity needed for your multichannel surround or LCR stage.
What is the difference between the SCL-9XL and the standard SCL-9?
The SCL-9XL features four 5.25-inch woofers (compared to two on the SCL-9) and upgrades the high-frequency driver to the flagship D2415K dual compression driver, providing significantly higher SPL, lower distortion, and greater headroom for larger rooms.
Can the SCL-9XL be mounted vertically and horizontally?
Yes. The symmetrical driver arrangement and controlled HDI™ horn dispersion allow flexible vertical or horizontal orientation for main LCR, center channel, or surround applications.
Is the front grille paintable?
Yes. The included magnetic steel grille can be painted using standard spray paint to match your room's wall or ceiling color scheme seamlessly.
