FAQ — SCL-7XL
Is this speaker sold individually or as a pair?
This product listing is for a single (each) JBL Synthesis SCL-7XL 2-way Dual 6.5-inch In-Wall Loudspeaker (Each). Please order the total quantity needed for your multichannel surround or LCR configuration.
What is the difference between the SCL-7XL and the standard SCL-7?
The SCL-7XL features larger 6.5-inch woofers (compared to 5.25-inch on the SCL-7) and incorporates the upgraded D2415K dual compression driver, delivering higher SPL capabilities, deeper bass extension, and greater headroom for larger rooms.
Why is the angled baffle design advantageous?
The integrated angled baffle directs sound toward the listening position, making it ideal for off-axis installations such as side/rear surround channels or wide LCR positions where standard flat-baffle speakers spill energy onto adjacent walls.
Is the front grille paintable?
Yes. The included magnetic bezel-free steel grille can be painted using standard spray paint to match your room's wall finish seamlessly.
