Key Features & Innovations
Low-profile quad-woofer center channel design — the JBL Stage 245C 2.5-Way Quad 4.5-Inch Center Channel Loudspeaker delivers high acoustic output and pristine dialogue reproduction while maintaining a slim vertical cabinet height.
Quad 4.5-inch Polycellulose Ribbed Cone Woofers — four rigid, lightweight polycellulose woofer cones generate forceful mid-bass energy and articulate vocal speed without mid-frequency lobing.
1-inch Anodized Aluminum Tweeter with Next-Gen HDI™ Horn — high-definition imaging waveguide ensures seamless off-axis dispersion, accurate soundstage tracking, and extended high-frequency response.
Advanced 2.5-Way Crossover Network — eliminates destructive horizontal interference pattern problems typical of traditional MTM center channels, ensuring wide, uniform coverage across all seating positions.
Dual rear-firing flared bass ports — rear bass-reflex port geometry enhances low-frequency response and eliminates air noise during high-output cinematic passages.
FAQ — Stage 245C
Is this center channel speaker sold individually?
Yes. This product listing is for a single JBL Stage 245C 2.5-Way Quad 4.5-Inch Center Channel Loudspeaker, which acts as the dedicated center anchor for surround sound home theater systems.
How does the 2.5-way crossover improve dialogue quality?
In a standard horizontal speaker, multiple woofers playing the same frequencies can cause acoustic phase cancellation (lobing) off-axis. The 2.5-way network rolls off the outer woofers earlier, allowing only the inner pair to handle midrange dialogue for consistent sound across the room.
Will the low-profile cabinet block my TV screen?
Standing just 6.1 inches (15.6 cm) tall, the Stage 245C is specifically engineered to sit below most TV screens on media consoles or mount easily inside shelf openings.
Can the front magnetic grille be removed?
Yes. The dark or light fabric grille attaches magnetically with no visible fasteners, giving you a clean look whether grilles are left on or off.
