FAQ — H190v
What is the difference between the original H190 and the new H190v?
The Hegel H190v Integrated Amplifier with Built-in DAC and Phono Stage adds a dedicated high-end Moving Magnet (MM) phono preamplifier, upgraded power supply shielding, improved headphone output circuitry, and enhanced IP control options over the previous H190 model.
Can I use the H190v with a home theater surround sound receiver?
Yes. Any of the analog inputs can be configured as a fixed-level Home Theater input, allowing your surround processor or AV receiver to pass front channel volume directly through the H190v.
Can I connect a Moving Coil (MC) cartridge to the built-in phono stage?
The built-in phono stage is specifically designed for Moving Magnet (MM) and high-output MC cartridges. Standard low-output MC cartridges will require a Step-Up Transformer (SUT) or external MC phono preamp.
Does the H190v support wireless streaming without extra hardware?
Yes. Once connected to your home network via Ethernet cable, you can stream directly via Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Roon, or UPnP network apps.
