The Gallo Acoustics RoomSub 8 delivers deep, controlled bass from a compact enclosure designed to complement Gallo Acoustics satellite, on-wall, pendant, and architectural loudspeakers. Its discreet proportions make it well suited to living rooms, media rooms, bedrooms, and two-channel systems where a larger subwoofer may be difficult to accommodate.
An 8-inch down-firing polypropylene-cone woofer with an NBR surround is powered by a high-performance 200-watt Class-D amplifier. With published low-frequency extension down to 32Hz, the RoomSub 8 adds weight and impact to music, movies, television sound, and gaming while helping smaller loudspeakers operate with greater clarity.
The Gallo Acoustics RoomSub 8 includes continuously adjustable level, low-pass crossover, and phase controls for precise integration with the room and main speakers. Stereo RCA inputs accommodate stereo preamplifier connections, while the left input also accepts a mono LFE signal from a compatible AV receiver or processor.
Down-Firing Woofer Configuration — The 8-inch driver directs low-frequency energy toward the floor, helping distribute bass throughout the room while keeping the driver visually concealed.
High-Efficiency Class-D Amplification — The integrated 200-watt amplifier provides the power required for dynamic music and movie playback while supporting a compact cabinet design.
Continuously Adjustable Crossover — The low-pass filter can be set between 50Hz and 180Hz, allowing the RoomSub 8 to blend with compact satellites, bookshelf speakers, on-wall speakers, or floorstanding loudspeakers.
Variable Phase Alignment — The continuously adjustable 0-to-180-degree phase control helps compensate for different subwoofer positions relative to the speakers and primary listening area.
Flexible Stereo and Theater Integration — The Gallo Acoustics RoomSub 8 can connect to stereo preamp outputs or a home theater receiver’s dedicated LFE output. When the AV receiver handles bass management, the crossover control can be set to its maximum position.
Yes. Connect the receiver’s subwoofer or LFE output to the RoomSub 8’s left/LFE RCA input using a compatible subwoofer cable.
Yes. A stereo amplifier or preamplifier with left and right preamp outputs can be connected to the RoomSub 8’s stereo RCA line inputs.
The continuously adjustable phase control helps align the subwoofer’s bass output with the main speakers. Settings near 0 degrees are commonly used when the subwoofer is in front of the listening position, while settings closer to 180 degrees may suit placement behind it.
Yes. In Auto mode, the subwoofer powers on when it detects an incoming signal and returns to standby after the source signal is no longer present.
