The Furman M-8X AR is a professional-grade voltage regulator designed to protect sensitive audio, video, recording, and electronic equipment from unstable AC power conditions. Utilizing Furman's automatic voltage regulation technology, the M-8X AR continuously monitors incoming AC power and corrects voltage fluctuations to maintain a stable 120V AC output (±5V). This helps eliminate problems caused by brownouts, low-voltage conditions, over-voltage events, and inconsistent utility power while helping connected equipment perform reliably and safely.
Ideal for recording studios, live sound systems, DJ rigs, broadcast facilities, home theaters, and commercial AV installations, the M-8X AR provides nine regulated and conditioned outlets, advanced protection circuitry, comprehensive voltage monitoring, and Furman's trusted Extreme Voltage Shutdown technology.
Automatic Voltage Regulation allows the M-8X AR to compensate for input voltage variations between approximately 97V and 141V while maintaining regulated output power near 120V AC. This protects equipment from performance issues caused by low-voltage or over-voltage conditions.
Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) continuously monitors incoming power and automatically disconnects connected equipment when unsafe voltage conditions exceed the regulator's operating range. Once safe power conditions return, operation is automatically restored.
Extreme Current Shutdown (ECS) protects both the regulator and connected equipment from severe over-current conditions while avoiding nuisance shutdowns caused by normal amplifier inrush currents.
Low-Noise Toroidal Transformer Technology delivers voltage correction with minimal stray magnetic field leakage, making the M-8X AR well-suited for sensitive recording and audio environments.
Professional Power Management makes the M-8X AR an excellent solution for recording studios, live production systems, DJ setups, instrument rigs, houses of worship, broadcast facilities, and commercial AV systems.
The M-8X AR automatically regulates incoming AC voltage to maintain stable output power while protecting connected equipment from brownouts, voltage sags, and over-voltage conditions.
The unit includes nine regulated outlets: eight on the rear panel and one convenience outlet on the front panel.
Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) automatically disconnects power if incoming voltage rises above or falls below safe operating limits, helping protect valuable electronics.
