The Bowers & Wilkins Marine 8 Versatile Two-Way Marine Speaker (Pair) is designed for demanding marine and outdoor installations where weather resistance matters just as much as sound quality. Using an 8" polypropylene bass/midrange driver and a 1" soft dome tweeter, it brings Bowers & Wilkins’ high-performance loudspeaker thinking into a rugged, shallow-mount form factor built for boats, wet environments, and other exposed installations.
Installation note: this is the larger Marine-series model, offering fuller bass and greater output while still fitting into a relatively shallow mounting depth.
Two-way driver architecture — the Marine 8 uses a dedicated 25mm soft dome tweeter alongside a 200mm polypropylene cone bass/midrange driver to deliver broad frequency coverage and stronger overall balance.
Marine-hardened construction — Bowers & Wilkins specifies a marine-grade stainless steel grille and screws, plus a non-corroding rigid polymer chassis for better long-term durability.
Protected tweeter structure — the tweeter dome includes rear support designed to help prevent permanent deformation when exposed to demanding wash-down conditions.
Shallow-mount flexibility — despite being the larger Marine-series model, the speaker still fits into a 93mm mounting depth, making it easier to use where available installation depth is limited.
