Bluesound HUB Wireless Audio Source Adapter

BluOS Network Source Adapter • HDMI eARC • MM Phono Stage • Analog RCA • Optical & Coaxial Digital Inputs • Dual-Band Wi-Fi • Gigabit Ethernet • USB-C Powered

Bring Turntables, TVs and Legacy Audio Sources into Your BluOS Multi-Room System

The Bluesound HUB Wireless Audio Source Adapter makes it possible to distribute audio from traditional wired sources throughout a BluOS multi-room system without moving equipment or running analog audio cables between rooms. Connect a turntable, CD player, television or other source to the HUB, then select that input from the BluOS Controller app and send the audio to one or more compatible Bluesound or BluOS players anywhere on the network.

Five source options include HDMI eARC, coaxial digital, Toslink optical, stereo RCA line-level and a dedicated moving-magnet phono input. The HUB can stream one analog and one digital source simultaneously to different BluOS players, and up to four HUB units can coexist on one network for as many as eight simultaneous source streams. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Gigabit Ethernet and compact USB-C-powered construction make the HUB easy to position near the equipment you want to share.

Highlights & Benefits

  • Bring Legacy Sources into BluOS — Stream audio from turntables, CD players, televisions and other wired components to compatible Bluesound players throughout the home.
  • Built-In Moving Magnet Phono Stage — A low-noise, wide-bandwidth MM phono preamplifier allows a compatible turntable to become a whole-home network audio source.
  • Five Source Inputs — HDMI eARC, coaxial digital, Toslink optical, stereo RCA and dedicated MM phono inputs accommodate a wide range of analog and digital equipment.
  • Two Simultaneous Audio Streams — Send one analog and one digital source at the same time to different BluOS players or zones.
  • Flexible Network Placement — Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Gigabit Ethernet let the HUB sit close to the source components rather than forcing those components to be located near the playback system.

Technology & Design

Network Audio Source Sharing — Rather than functioning as a conventional audio output device, the HUB digitizes and distributes connected source audio over the BluOS network to compatible players.

High-Resolution 24-Bit/192kHz Architecture — Native sampling rates up to 192kHz and 16- to 24-bit processing allow high-quality transmission of compatible analog and digital sources throughout the BluOS ecosystem.

1.8GHz Quad-Core Processing — An ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor manages network streaming, source selection and simultaneous analog/digital audio transmission.

Compact USB-C-Powered Design — Keeping the power supply external allows the HUB to remain compact and easy to place on a shelf, behind equipment or in a custom installation.

FAQ — Bluesound HUB

Does the Bluesound HUB play audio by itself?

No. The HUB is a network audio source adapter rather than a standalone player or amplifier. It sends audio from connected sources to compatible Bluesound or BluOS players over the network.

Can I connect a turntable directly to the Bluesound HUB?

Yes, if the turntable uses a moving-magnet cartridge. The HUB includes a dedicated MM phono input with a built-in phono preamplifier. Turntables with other cartridge types may require a compatible external phono stage.

Can the HUB stream two sources at the same time?

Yes. One analog source and one digital source can be streamed simultaneously to different BluOS players. Bluesound supports up to four HUB units on one network, providing up to eight simultaneous streams.

Can the HUB send TV audio to Bluesound speakers?

Yes. HDMI eARC with CEC allows a compatible television to connect to the HUB, making it possible to route TV audio to compatible Bluesound speakers or players over the BluOS network.
