High-Performance Ethernet Cable • Solid 10% Silver-Plated Conductors • Three-Layer Noise-Dissipation • Direction-Controlled Conductors • Solid HDPE Insulation • Shielded RJ45 Connectors
The AudioQuest Vodka RJ/E Ethernet Cable is designed for high-performance network audio, media streaming and data applications where low noise, stable signal transfer and precise timing are priorities. Its solid Long-Grain Copper conductors receive a substantial 10% silver plating, placing highly conductive silver at the conductor surface where Ethernet’s high-frequency signals primarily travel.
A three-layer Noise-Dissipation system helps absorb and reflect radio-frequency interference before it can reach the shield connected to ground. Solid high-density polyethylene insulation preserves the cable’s internal geometry, while direction-controlled conductors and shielded RJ45 connectors help reduce the influence of induced RF noise. Vodka RJ/E also supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet over distances up to 100 meters when used with compatible networking equipment.
Solid 10% Silver over Long-Grain Copper — The AudioQuest Vodka RJ/E Ethernet Cable uses solid Long-Grain Copper conductors with 10% silver plating. Because high-frequency data signals travel primarily near the conductor surface, the thick silver layer provides many of the electrical advantages of solid-silver construction while retaining a copper core.
Solid-Conductor Signal Paths — Stranded conductors can introduce electrical and magnetic interaction between individual strands. AudioQuest’s solid conductors eliminate this source of strand interaction and help maintain consistent geometry throughout the cable.
Three-Layer Noise-Dissipation System — Three alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetic material surround the signal conductors. This layered structure is designed to absorb and reflect radio-frequency energy before it reaches the shield attached to ground.
Direction-Controlled RF Management — AudioQuest controls the direction of the internal conductors as part of its noise-management strategy. When installed according to the directional markings, the cable is designed to direct induced RF energy away from the most sensitive destination component.
The AudioQuest Vodka RJ/E Ethernet Cable can connect compatible routers, network switches, music streamers, media servers, network players, computers, smart televisions, gaming systems and other devices equipped with standard RJ45 Ethernet ports.
Yes. AudioQuest specifies support for 10-Gigabit Ethernet over copper cabling distances up to 100 meters when the connected network equipment and overall installation also support that data rate.
Ethernet operates at very high frequencies, where signal energy travels mainly near the outer surface of the conductor. Applying a thick layer of highly conductive silver to that surface creates an efficient signal path while retaining Long-Grain Copper at the conductor core.
Yes. AudioQuest direction-controls the internal conductors to help manage induced radio-frequency noise. Install the cable so the directional markings point toward the network player, streamer or other destination component whenever the system layout permits.
Router, network switch, music streamer, media server, computer and other connected network components are sold separately.
