The AudioQuest Cinnamon RJ/E Ethernet Cable is designed to provide a stable, low-noise network connection for music streamers, network players, servers, routers, switches, smart-home components and other Ethernet-enabled devices. Its solid Long-Grain Copper conductors are plated with 1.25% silver, placing the highly conductive silver at the conductor surface where very-high-frequency Ethernet signals primarily travel.
Cinnamon RJ/E combines solid conductors, geometry-stabilizing high-density polyethylene insulation, direction-controlled construction and AudioQuest Level 1 Noise-Dissipation to reduce the influence of radio-frequency interference. Gold-plated nickel RJ45 connectors provide complete shield coverage, while Cat 7 capability supports high-bandwidth network applications, including 10-Gigabit Ethernet over appropriately configured copper networks.
Solid 1.25% Silver over Long-Grain Copper — The AudioQuest Cinnamon RJ/E Ethernet Cable uses solid Long-Grain Copper conductors with a carefully applied layer of 1.25% silver. Because high-frequency data signals travel predominantly near the conductor surface, silver plating provides many of the performance advantages of solid-silver construction at a more accessible cost.
Solid-Conductor Signal Pairs — Conventional stranded conductors can introduce electrical and magnetic interaction between individual strands. AudioQuest’s solid conductors eliminate this strand-interaction mechanism and help maintain consistent signal-pair geometry throughout the cable.
Geometry-Stabilizing HDPE Insulation — Solid high-density polyethylene surrounds and stabilizes the signal conductors. Its relatively high air content and low-loss characteristics help minimize energy absorption while preserving the carefully controlled geometry required for reliable high-speed data transmission.
Direction-Controlled Level 1 Noise-Dissipation — Radio-frequency noise from Wi-Fi, cellular networks, satellites and connected electronics can couple into an Ethernet cable. AudioQuest controls conductor direction and shielding orientation to encourage this noise to drain away from the most sensitive components in the system.
The AudioQuest Cinnamon RJ/E Ethernet Cable can connect compatible routers, network switches, music streamers, media servers, computers, gaming systems, smart televisions, network receivers and other devices equipped with standard RJ45 Ethernet ports.
Yes. Cinnamon RJ/E is a Cat 7 Ethernet cable and is designed to support standard Ethernet speeds, including Gigabit Ethernet and 10-Gigabit Ethernet over distances up to 100 meters when the connected network hardware and installation also support those speeds.
Ethernet data operates at very high frequencies, where signal energy travels primarily along the outer surface of the conductor. Placing high-purity silver at that surface provides a highly conductive signal path without requiring the entire conductor to be made from solid silver.
Yes. The internal conductors are direction-controlled as part of AudioQuest’s noise-dissipation design. Install the cable so its directional markings point toward the network player, streamer or other destination component whenever the system layout allows.
Router, network switch, music streamer, server, computer and other connected network components are sold separately.
