The Audiolab DC Block 6 Direct Current Blocker is designed to improve the quality of the AC power feeding high-performance audio and AV components. DC offset present on household mains can cause the toroidal transformers commonly used in amplifiers and other Hi-Fi equipment to become partially saturated, potentially increasing mechanical vibration and compromising power-supply performance. The DC Block 6 corrects this imbalance by blocking up to 1.2 volts of DC offset from the incoming mains supply.
