Flagship Stereo Preamplifier • ESS ES9038PRO 32-Bit DAC • Fully Balanced Signal Path • MM Phono Stage • PCM 768kHz & DSD512 • Bluetooth 5.1 • Dedicated Headphone Amplifier
The Audiolab 9000Q Preamplifier is the dedicated control center of Audiolab's flagship 9000 Series, combining sophisticated analog preamplification with reference-level digital conversion and extensive source connectivity. Designed as more than simply the preamplifier section of the 9000A, the 9000Q incorporates newly developed circuitry, a fully balanced signal path, an ESS Sabre ES9038PRO DAC, a dedicated moving-magnet phono stage and precision four-channel analog volume control.
Designed to partner naturally with the Audiolab 9000P power amplifier, the 9000Q accommodates analog, balanced XLR, phono, coaxial, optical, USB and Bluetooth sources in a single component. Two variable RCA preamp outputs and one balanced XLR preamp output can operate simultaneously, while AV Direct, adjustable tone controls, digital filtering, a dedicated headphone amplifier and a 4.3-inch IPS display make the 9000Q exceptionally adaptable for sophisticated two-channel systems.
ESS Sabre32 ES9038PRO Architecture — Audiolab surrounds ESS's flagship eight-channel DAC with proprietary circuitry designed to maximize its HyperStream II architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator technology for precise, low-distortion digital conversion.
Four-Channel Analog Volume Control — The 9000Q's fully balanced architecture employs a four-channel analog volume control, allowing balanced signals to remain balanced through the preamplifier's direct signal path.
Single-Stage Class A MM Phono Circuit — The dedicated moving-magnet phono input uses an enhanced low-noise Class A design developed specifically for the 9000Q, providing a high-quality interface for compatible turntables and cartridges.
Custom Power Supply & 4.3-Inch IPS Display — A custom-specified transformer supports the preamplifier's demanding analog circuitry, while the 800 × 480 full-color display provides access to source information, VU meters, filters, upsampling, input sensitivity, balance, tone controls and other system settings.
Yes. The 9000Q uses the flagship ESS Sabre ES9038PRO 32-bit DAC. Its optical and coaxial inputs support PCM up to 192kHz, while the USB-B computer input supports PCM up to 768kHz and native DSD up to DSD512.
Yes. Audiolab equips the 9000Q with a dedicated high-performance moving-magnet phono stage using a low-noise single-stage Class A circuit. Moving-coil cartridges require a compatible external MC phono preamplifier or step-up device.
Yes. The 9000Q provides a balanced XLR preamp output, while the 9000P includes balanced XLR inputs. The 9000Q can therefore serve as the control center of a fully balanced 9000 Series pre/power amplifier system.
Yes. AUX 3 can be configured for AV Direct operation, allowing the 9000Q to receive a signal from the preamp output of a compatible AV processor or receiver that handles its own volume control.
