The Audio-Technica AT-VM95E/H Headshell/Cartridge Combo Kit combines Audio-Technica's AT-VM95E dual moving magnet cartridge with an AT-HS6 universal headshell for a convenient, ready-to-install cartridge assembly. Its 0.3 × 0.7 mil bonded elliptical stylus provides more precise groove contact than a conventional conical profile, helping reproduce musical detail, stereo imaging and high-frequency information with dependable tracking performance.
The VM95 cartridge platform uses separate magnets corresponding to the left and right channels of a stereo record groove, while an aluminum-pipe cantilever transfers stylus movement efficiently to the generator. Because the cartridge body accepts interchangeable AT-VMN95 replacement styli, the AT-VM95E/H also provides a straightforward upgrade path to nude elliptical, MicroLinear or Shibata stylus designs without replacing the complete cartridge body.
Bonded Elliptical Diamond — The 0.3 × 0.7 mil elliptical profile uses a narrower contact radius than a conventional conical stylus, allowing it to follow finer groove modulation with improved precision.
VM Dual-Magnet Generator — Audio-Technica positions separate magnets to correspond with the two channels of a stereo record groove, supporting accurate left- and right-channel reproduction.
Aluminum-Pipe Cantilever — The lightweight cantilever transfers groove movement efficiently to the generator while providing the rigidity required for controlled tracking.
AT-HS6 Universal Headshell — The included headshell provides a standard half-inch cartridge mounting platform and connects to compatible removable-headshell tonearms for quick installation and cartridge swapping.
The AT-VM95E/H combines Audio-Technica's AT-VM95E dual moving magnet cartridge with a bonded elliptical stylus and an AT-HS6 universal headshell.
Audio-Technica specifies a tracking-force range of 1.8 to 2.2 grams for the AT-VM95E, with 2.0 grams as the standard recommended setting.
Yes. The VM95 cartridge body accepts compatible AT-VMN95 replacement styli. This allows upgrades to options such as the AT-VMN95EN nude elliptical, AT-VMN95ML MicroLinear or AT-VMN95SH Shibata stylus.
No. The included AT-HS6 is intended for compatible removable-headshell tonearms that accept a universal bayonet-style headshell. Turntable tonearm geometry, counterweight range and cartridge alignment requirements should be confirmed before installation.
