Transparent acrylic chassis & platter • External control/power unit • Carbon tonearm with VTA • Includes AT-OC9XEN moving-coil cartridge
The Audio-Technica AT-LPA2 Fully Manual Belt-Drive Turntable is engineered to reduce resonance and bring out the purity of vinyl playback with a high-density 30mm transparent acrylic chassis and a 20mm acrylic platter. An optical sensor positioned under the spindle monitors platter rotation to help maintain accurate speed at 33-1/3 and 45 RPM.
To help minimize electrical noise, the controls and power supply are housed in a separate external control unit. The included AT-OC9XEN moving-coil cartridge (low-output) is factory mounted to the headshell for easier setup, but it typically requires an MC-capable phono stage (or step-up device) to match your system.
Fully manual belt-drive — a DC servo motor drives the platter via belt for smooth, controlled playback.
Acrylic mass for stability — thick acrylic plinth and platter help absorb unwanted vibration and support consistent rotation.
Optical sensor speed monitoring — sensor feedback under the spindle helps maintain accurate 33-1/3 and 45 RPM speeds.
Carbon tonearm with precision adjustment — static-balanced straight carbon tonearm with tonearm height adjustment to align cartridges properly.
String-and-weight anti-skate — fine, repeatable anti-skate adjustments to match tracking force settings.
Yes. The included AT-OC9XEN is a moving-coil (MC) cartridge, so you will typically need an MC-capable phono stage or step-up solution.
No. It is fully manual — you cue the tonearm and start/stop playback yourself.
It supports 33-1/3 and 45 RPM playback.
