Fully Manual Belt Drive • 33-1/3 & 45 RPM • 40mm MDF Plinth • 20mm Acrylic Platter • J-Shaped Tonearm • AT-VM95E BK Cartridge • AT-LT10 Headshell • MM/MC Phono Preamp
The Audio-Technica AT-LP7X Fully Manual Belt-Drive Turntable combines a substantial resonance-controlled platform with extensive cartridge flexibility for serious two-channel vinyl systems. Its 40mm-thick MDF plinth and 20mm high-density acrylic platter help suppress unwanted vibration, while a DC servo belt-drive motor uses a speed-sensor system to maintain accurate platter rotation at 33-1/3 or 45 RPM.
A 247mm static-balanced J-shaped tonearm provides adjustable tracking force, anti-skate and vertical tracking angle, while the removable AT-LT10 headshell simplifies cartridge changes. Audio-Technica supplies the AT-LP7X with its AT-VM95E BK Dual Moving Magnet cartridge and bonded elliptical stylus. A built-in switchable phono preamplifier supports both MM and MC cartridges, allowing direct connection to line-level systems or bypass operation with an external phono stage.
Sensor-Monitored Belt Drive — The AT-LP7X uses a DC servo motor and speed-sensor system to maintain stable platter rotation while the belt mechanically isolates the platter from motor vibration.
Classic J-Shaped Tonearm Geometry — The 247mm static-balanced arm uses traditional J-shaped geometry with adjustable VTA and anti-skate for precise cartridge alignment and tracking.
VM95 Cartridge Platform — The factory AT-VM95E BK cartridge provides an accessible upgrade path because the same cartridge body accepts multiple compatible VM95-series stylus profiles.
Expanded Cartridge Compatibility — The supplied light subcounterweight increases the allowable cartridge-and-headshell mass to 23.5g, while an optional heavy subcounterweight extends compatibility further for specialized cartridge setups.
Yes. The AT-LP7X includes a switchable RIAA phono preamplifier with separate MM and MC gain modes. It can also be bypassed when using an external phono stage or amplifier phono input.
The turntable includes an AT-VM95E BK Dual Moving Magnet cartridge mounted to an AT-LT10 headshell. The cartridge uses a 0.3 × 0.7 mil bonded elliptical stylus and a standard tracking force of 2.0 grams.
Yes. The adjustable tonearm supports cartridge changes, and the built-in phono preamp includes a dedicated MC gain setting. Cartridge weight, tracking force and tonearm height must still be properly matched and adjusted.
No. The AT-LP7X supports 33-1/3 and 45 RPM playback. It does not provide a 78 RPM speed setting.
