The Arcam AVR31 HDMI 2.1 Class G AV Receiver combines sophisticated sixteen-channel immersive audio processing with seven channels of ARCAM's high-power Class G amplification. Designed for premium home cinema systems where both movie performance and musical fidelity matter, the AVR31 uses an oversized toroidal transformer and amplifier technology derived from ARCAM's dedicated stereo electronics to deliver exceptional dynamics, control and efficiency.
Native Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and AURO-3D decoding provides extensive flexibility for immersive speaker configurations, while Dirac Live Room Correction helps optimize the system for the listening environment. Dual ESS 9026PRO DACs handle multichannel digital conversion, and seven HDMI 2.1 inputs support compatible 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video. AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth aptX HD, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, MQA and Roon Ready support make the AVR31 equally capable as the centerpiece of a high-performance music system.
High-Power Class G Amplification — The AVR31's seven amplifier channels use ARCAM's Class G architecture, which operates efficiently at normal listening levels while calling upon a higher-voltage power supply when greater output is required for demanding musical and cinematic peaks.
Oversized Toroidal Power Supply — A substantial toroidal transformer provides the current reserves required for high-output multichannel playback while helping minimize unwanted electrical noise.
Dual ESS 9026PRO DACs — Two audiophile-grade ESS converters with dedicated ESS reference voltage regulators provide precise multichannel digital-to-analog conversion across the AVR31's extensive processing architecture.
Dirac Live System Optimization — Dirac Live Room Correction is included for sophisticated speaker and room calibration. The AVR31 is also ready for optional Dirac Live Bass Control for more advanced low-frequency and subwoofer integration.
Class G amplification uses multiple power-supply voltage levels so the amplifier can operate efficiently during normal playback while accessing additional voltage when greater output is required. This allows the AVR31 to combine high power and dynamic headroom with greater efficiency than a conventional high-power Class AB design.
ARCAM rates the AVR31 at 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms with two channels driven from 20Hz–20kHz at less than 0.02% THD. With seven channels driven at 1kHz, output is rated at 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 180 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
Yes. Dirac Live Room Correction is included. The AVR31 is also compatible with Dirac Live Bass Control, which requires a separately purchased license.
Yes. The AVR31 provides seven HDMI 2.1 inputs with HDCP 2.3. All seven HDMI inputs support compatible video signals up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz.
External power amplifiers, HDMI cables, analog/digital interconnects, and speaker wire are sold separately unless otherwise specified. Dirac Live Bass Control requires an optional license.
