The Arcam AVR21 HDMI 2.1 High Power Class AB AV Receiver combines seven channels of high-current Class AB amplification with sophisticated sixteen-channel surround processing for serious home cinema systems. Drawing on ARCAM's long history of stereo amplifier design, the AVR21 uses an oversized toroidal transformer and audiophile-focused circuitry to deliver the dynamics required for movies while retaining the musical refinement expected from a premium two-channel component.
Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and AURO-3D decoding provide flexible immersive-audio configuration, while Dirac Live Room Correction helps optimize speaker performance for the listening environment. Seven HDMI 2.1 inputs support compatible 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz sources, and integrated AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth aptX HD, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Roon Ready functionality give the AVR21 extensive options for high-quality music playback.
ARCAM Class AB Amplification — Seven internally amplified channels use ARCAM's Class AB topology and a substantial toroidal power supply to provide strong current delivery with low noise and excellent musical performance.
Dual ESS 9026PRO DACs — Two audiophile-grade ESS DACs with dedicated reference voltage regulators provide high-resolution multichannel conversion with low noise and excellent channel separation.
Full 16-Channel Dirac Calibration — Dirac Live can calibrate the entire processed speaker system, while optional Dirac Live Bass Control adds more sophisticated integration of multiple subwoofers with the main loudspeakers.
Advanced HDMI 2.1 Platform — Seven HDMI inputs and three outputs provide support for eARC, HDCP 2.3, 8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG.
The AVR21 includes seven built-in Class AB amplifier channels. Larger immersive speaker systems can use the receiver's sixteen-channel processing with compatible external power amplifiers.
ARCAM rates the AVR21 at 110 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 175 watts into 4 ohms with two channels driven from 20Hz–20kHz at less than 0.02% THD. With seven channels driven at 1kHz, output is rated at 90 watts into 8 ohms and 110 watts into 4 ohms.
Yes. Dirac Live Room Correction is included. The AVR21 is also compatible with Dirac Live Bass Control, which requires a separate license.
Yes. All seven HDMI inputs support compatible 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video signals, along with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG.
External power amplifiers, HDMI cables, analog/digital interconnects, speaker wire, loudspeakers and powered subwoofers are sold separately unless otherwise specified. Dirac Live Bass Control requires a separate license.
