The Arcam AVR21 HDMI 2.1 High Power Class AB AV Receiver combines ARCAM's audiophile amplifier engineering with native sixteen-channel immersive processing for sophisticated home theater systems. Seven channels of high-current Class AB amplification are based on ARCAM's stereo amplifier designs and supported by an oversized toroidal transformer, delivering the dynamics required for demanding movie soundtracks while retaining the musical refinement expected from a premium two-channel component.
Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and AURO-3D decoding provide extensive system flexibility, while Dirac Live Room Correction helps optimize speaker and room interaction. Seven HDMI 2.1 inputs support compatible 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz sources, and dual ESS 9026PRO DACs provide high-quality multichannel conversion. Integrated AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth aptX HD, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, MQA and Roon Ready support make the AVR21 equally capable for movies and music.
ARCAM Class AB Amplification — The AVR21 uses seven channels of high-current Class AB amplification based on ARCAM's dedicated stereo amplifier designs, providing a balance of transparency, dynamics and musicality.
Oversized Toroidal Transformer — A substantial toroidal power supply provides the current reserves needed for demanding multichannel playback while helping reduce electrical noise.
Dual ESS 9026PRO DACs — Two audiophile-grade ESS DACs with dedicated ESS reference voltage regulators provide precise multichannel digital-to-analog conversion for movies and music.
Full-System Dirac Calibration — Dirac Live Room Correction is included, while optional Dirac Live Bass Control adds more sophisticated optimization of subwoofer and main-speaker interaction.
The AVR21 contains seven built-in Class AB amplifier channels. Its sixteen-channel processing platform allows substantially larger immersive systems to be created by adding compatible external power amplifiers.
ARCAM rates the AVR21 at 110 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 175 watts per channel into 4 ohms with two channels driven from 20Hz–20kHz at less than 0.02% THD. With seven channels driven at 1kHz, output is rated at 90 watts into 8 ohms and 110 watts into 4 ohms.
Yes. Dirac Live Room Correction is included. The AVR21 is also compatible with Dirac Live Bass Control, which requires a separately purchased license.
Yes. The AVR21 provides seven HDMI 2.1 inputs with HDCP 2.3. All seven inputs support compatible video signals up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz.
