The ARCAM AVP45 AV Processor is a reference-level home theater processor engineered for sophisticated systems using dedicated external power amplifiers. Designed in Cambridge, UK, the AVP45 provides 16 channels of high-resolution decoding and processing through the same advanced DAC architecture developed for ARCAM’s flagship stereo components.
Every processed channel is available through both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs, allowing the AVP45 to integrate with a wide range of multichannel power amplifiers. Matrix Channel Assignment provides complete flexibility across all 16 channels, making it possible to configure expansive Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, MPEG-H, and AURO-3D speaker systems around the room, equipment, and listening priorities.
Seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs support HDMI 2.1a, HDCP 2.3, resolutions up to 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, eARC, Variable Refresh Rate, and Auto Low Latency Mode. Dirac Live Room Correction, extensive lossless streaming, Bluetooth 5.4, a 6.5-inch color display, and the ARCAM Radia app make the ARCAM AVP45 AV Processor a highly capable command center for uncompromising cinema and music systems.
High-Performance DAC Architecture — The AVP45 uses digital-to-analog conversion technology derived from ARCAM’s flagship stereo systems, helping preserve clarity, dimensionality, and fine musical detail across all 16 processed channels.
Balanced XLR Signal Paths — Sixteen balanced XLR outputs provide high output capability and strong resistance to interference when the processor is connected to compatible power amplifiers, particularly across longer cable runs.
Matrix Channel Assignment — Every channel can be reassigned, allowing installers and enthusiasts to adapt the processor to unconventional speaker layouts, additional height channels, multiple subwoofers, and specialized immersive configurations.
Dirac Live Room Correction — The included calibration system measures speaker and room behavior to correct frequency and timing irregularities. Optional Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment licenses offer more advanced system optimization.
Next-Generation Video and Streaming — The ARCAM AVP45 AV Processor combines HDMI 2.1a video switching with lossless network streaming, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound, Auracast, Apple AirPlay, and Google Cast.
