The Anthem MRX 740 8K 11.2 Pre-Amplifier / 7 Amplifier Channel A/V Receiver with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced combines advanced surround processing, seven channels of onboard amplification and Anthem's ARC Genesis room-correction platform in a flexible centerpiece for premium home theater. With 11.2 channels of processing, the MRX 740 8K can power a conventional 7-channel system directly while providing preamp outputs for adding external amplification and height channels in more sophisticated immersive-audio installations.
The latest HDMI 2.1 platform provides seven dedicated 8K inputs with support for compatible 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz sources, HDCP 2.3, HDR formats and gaming features including Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode. Wireless streaming, dual subwoofer outputs, Zone 2, flexible amplifier assignment and comprehensive custom-installation control give the MRX 740 8K the versatility required for both dedicated theaters and high-performance media rooms.
Anthem Room Correction ARC Genesis — ARC Genesis uses a calibrated measurement microphone and sophisticated acoustic correction to optimize frequency response, speaker integration and bass performance for the listening room.
Flexible Amplifier Matrixing — The seven internal amplifier channels can be assigned according to system requirements, including conventional surround, height, Zone 2 and compatible front-channel bi-amplification configurations.
Object-Based Immersive Audio — Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced processing create three-dimensional sound fields using compatible surround and height speakers.
Advanced HDMI 2.1 Architecture — Support for high-bandwidth 8K and 4K/120 video, HDR and gaming technologies keeps the MRX 740 8K compatible with modern televisions, projectors, consoles and media players.
The MRX 740 8K includes seven onboard amplifier channels and is configured by default for a 7.1-channel main speaker system. Powered subwoofers connect through the receiver's subwoofer outputs.
Yes. The receiver provides 11.2-channel processing. External amplification is required when adding additional height or surround channels beyond the seven channels powered internally.
Yes. Its HDMI 2.1 platform supports compatible 4K/120Hz and 8K/60Hz signals along with Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode.
Yes. Anthem Room Correction ARC Genesis is fully supported and allows up to four different speaker profiles with independent speaker configuration, bass management and room-correction settings.
