Reference Dual-Mono Stereo Preamplifier • Analog Devices AD1955 DAC • MM/MC Phono • Dual Toroidal Transformers • XMOS USB-B • Balanced XLR Inputs & Outputs
The Advance Paris X-P1200 Stereo Pre-amplifier is designed as the reference control center for a high-end separates system. Rather than sharing a common internal signal path, the X-P1200 is effectively composed of two independent mono preamplifiers housed within one rigid, compartmentalized chassis. Separate left- and right-channel circuits and power supplies help maximize channel separation, stereo imaging and low-level detail.
The X-P1200 combines this dual-mono analog architecture with extensive source flexibility, including nine analog inputs, two balanced XLR inputs, MM/MC phono support, XMOS USB-B computer audio, coaxial and optical digital inputs, and a high-performance Analog Devices AD1955 DAC. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs make it an ideal partner for the X-A1200 monoblocks, X-A600 stereo power amplifier or other compatible high-end amplification.
Compartmentalized Dual-Mono Construction — The X-P1200 separates critical circuits and preamplification stages within an ultra-rigid chassis to reduce interaction and preserve stereo-channel independence.
Dual Toroidal Power Transformers — High-current toroidal transformers and four 12,000µF / 150V filtering capacitors provide independent, heavily filtered power for the left and right preamp sections.
AD1955 Digital-to-Analog Conversion — The Analog Devices AD1955 uses multibit sigma-delta processing, high-performance digital interpolation filters and differential current outputs for high-quality digital playback.
Relay-Based Signal Switching — Inputs and outputs are selected using relays to maintain clean signal contacts, while Burr-Brown operational amplifiers are used for balancing and unbalancing RCA signal paths.
No. The X-P1200 is a dedicated stereo preamplifier and requires a separate power amplifier such as the Advance Paris X-A600 or a pair of X-A1200 monoblocks.
Yes. The built-in phono section supports both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, with specified MM/MC gain figures of 48dB and 64dB.
Yes. The X-P1200 uses an Analog Devices AD1955 DAC and includes XMOS USB-B, coaxial and optical digital connectivity for compatible digital sources.
Yes. Advance Paris specifically identifies the X-P1200 and X-A1200 monoblock power amplifiers as a reference separates combination, although the preamplifier can also be used with other compatible power amplifiers.
Power amplifier, source components, turntable, analog and digital interconnects, speaker cable and loudspeakers are sold separately unless otherwise specified.
