The Advance Paris X-A220 EVO Mono Amplifier is a dedicated monoblock power amplifier designed to give each loudspeaker channel its own independent amplification and power supply. Delivering 220 watts RMS into 8 ohms and 350 watts RMS into 4 ohms, the X-A220 EVO provides the current capability and dynamic headroom required for demanding high-performance loudspeakers.
At the heart of the amplifier is a substantial 700VA toroidal transformer feeding four 10,000µF / 80V filtering capacitors. A triple push-pull output stage uses complementary NJW0281G and NJW0302G power transistors, while selectable High-Bias operation allows the amplifier to operate in a Class A-like region for its initial output before transitioning automatically to efficient Class AB operation as power demand increases.
Triple Push-Pull Output Stage — Complementary NJW0281G and NJW0302G bipolar transistors are arranged in a triple push-pull configuration to provide high-current delivery and strong loudspeaker control.
Oversized Linear Power Supply — The 700VA toroidal transformer and 40,000µF capacitor bank give each X-A220 EVO its own substantial energy reserve, one of the principal advantages of using dedicated monoblock amplification.
Compartmentalized Internal Architecture — Critical circuit sections are arranged on separate PCBs and partitioned by function to improve mechanical rigidity and help shield sensitive circuitry from unwanted interaction.
Large Heat Dissipation System — The substantial chassis accommodates an oversized heatsink for the power transistors, supporting stable thermal performance during demanding listening sessions.
No. The X-A220 EVO is a monoblock amplifier with one power-amplifier channel. A conventional two-channel stereo system requires two X-A220 EVO amplifiers, one for the left speaker and one for the right speaker.
Advance Paris rates the X-A220 EVO at 220 watts RMS into 8 ohms and 350 watts RMS into 4 ohms.
Yes. The amplifier provides both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog inputs with a rear-panel selector for choosing the connection being used.
Advance Paris specifically recommends using a pair of X-A220 EVO monoblocks with the X-P700 preamplifier. The amplifier can also be paired with other compatible high-quality preamplifiers.
A single X-A220 EVO powers one loudspeaker channel. Two units are required for a conventional two-channel stereo system. Preamplifier, interconnects, speaker cable and loudspeakers are sold separately unless otherwise specified.
