Key Features & Innovations
Colossal 450W RMS monoblock power stage — the Advance Paris X-A1200 Mono-Block Power Amplifier generates 450W into 8 Ohms and 700W into 4 Ohms using 10 pairs of matched high-current output transistors for uncompromised speaker drive.
Switchable High Bias (Class A) mode — features a rear-panel High Bias switch that operates the amplifier in pure Class A mode for the first few watts of output, delivering silky, low-distortion reproduction for voice and acoustic instruments before shifting to Class AB.
Massive 1000VA toroidal power transformer — anchored by a custom 1000VA toroidal transformer and high-capacity filter capacitors to deliver instantaneous current during dynamic orchestral and bass passages.
Fully balanced XLR & single-ended RCA inputs — equipped with gold-plated balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs with rear-panel input toggle switches for clean integration with flagship preamplifiers.
Ultra-rigid partitioned chassis with large VU meter — built inside a heavily damped, compartmentalized steel frame with a thick black methacrylate front panel housing a large, illuminated analog peak level meter.
FAQ — X-A1200 Mono-Block Power Amplifier
How many X-A1200 amplifiers are required for a stereo setup?
Because the Advance Paris X-A1200 Mono-Block Power Amplifier is a dedicated monoblock power amplifier, you will need two units—one for the left channel and one for the right channel—for a complete 2-channel stereo audio system.
What advantage does the High Bias switch offer on this flagship monoblock?
Activating High Bias causes the amplifier to operate in pure Class A mode at low-to-moderate volume levels, eliminating switching distortion for smoother high frequencies and vocal texture before automatically transitioning to Class AB for maximum power output.
Can I automatically power on multiple monoblocks simultaneously?
Yes. Each unit features 12V Trigger In/Out ports so both monoblocks can be daisy-chained and powered on or off automatically in sync with your preamplifier or streamer.
Can the front VU meter lighting be adjusted or turned off?
Yes. The meter backlighting intensity can be adjusted or completely disabled using rear-panel controls to suit your darkened listening room environment.
