The Advance Paris WTX-StreamTubes Network Player combines modern network music streaming with the warm, dimensional character of a tube-based analog output stage. Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity provide access to compatible streaming services, internet radio and locally stored music, while two Raytheon 5703 subminiature tubes operate in Class A to give the analog output a smoother, more natural presentation.
A Burr-Brown PCM1796 24-bit/192kHz DAC handles digital-to-analog conversion, while AirPlay, DLNA and multiroom functionality make it easy to access music stored on computers, smartphones, tablets and NAS drives. Stereo RCA analog output allows direct connection to an amplifier or preamplifier, while optical and coaxial digital outputs provide the option of using an external DAC instead.
Class A Raytheon 5703 Tube Stage — Advance Paris uses two 5703 subminiature tubes mounted to a fixed insulating support in a Class A analog output circuit designed to give streamed music a warmer and less aggressive character.
PCM1796 24-Bit/192kHz DAC — The Burr-Brown digital-to-analog converter processes compatible network audio before feeding the tube-based stereo analog output.
Advance PlayStream Network Platform — The free Advance PlayStream app for iOS and Android provides control of compatible streaming services, internet radio, locally stored music and multiroom playback.
Flexible Digital Architecture — Optical and coaxial digital outputs support signals up to 24-bit/192kHz, allowing the WTX-StreamTubes to function as a digital network transport with an external DAC or digitally equipped amplifier.
Yes. It uses Raytheon 5703 subminiature vacuum tubes in a Class A analog output stage designed to provide a warmer, more musical presentation.
Yes. Its stereo RCA line-level output can connect directly to a compatible auxiliary or line-level input on an integrated amplifier or preamplifier.
Yes. Optical TOSLINK and coaxial digital outputs can feed a compatible external DAC or amplifier with digital inputs, bypassing the WTX-StreamTubes' internal analog output path.
Bluetooth requires an optional Advance Paris X-FTB01 or X-FTB02 receiver connected to the dedicated Bluetooth port. The X-FTB02 adds aptX HD support.
X-FTB01 or X-FTB02 Bluetooth receiver, Ethernet cable, RCA interconnects, optical/coaxial digital cables, amplifier and loudspeakers are sold separately unless otherwise specified.
