The Advance Paris A12 APEX Integrated Amplifier combines tube-based preamplification with a powerful dual-mono Class A/B output stage designed for demanding high-end stereo systems. Two ECC81/12AT7 tubes provide the harmonic richness and dimensional presentation associated with Advance Paris hybrid electronics, while separate 280VA toroidal transformers help deliver 190 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 292 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
Its extensive source connectivity makes the A12 APEX equally capable with vinyl, digital audio, television sound and conventional analog components. An ESS9039 DAC supports high-resolution digital playback, while MM/MC phono, dual XLR inputs, HDMI eARC, USB audio, AES/EBU, optical and coaxial inputs, balanced and unbalanced pre-outs, dual subwoofer outputs and AMP-IN connectivity allow the amplifier to anchor an advanced stereo or 2.2-channel system.
Dual-Mono Class A/B Architecture — Separate power transformers for each channel help improve current delivery, stereo separation and dynamic stability while maintaining the efficiency and control of Class A/B amplification.
High-Bias Operation — A selectable High-Bias function increases the amplifier’s Class A bias, allowing it to remain in Class A operation over a greater portion of its lower-power output range.
ESS9039 Digital Conversion — The internal DAC supports high-resolution PCM through optical, coaxial and AES/EBU inputs, while USB audio supports PCM up to 24-bit/192kHz plus DSD64 and DSD128.
Flexible Preamp & Subwoofer Architecture — Balanced and unbalanced PRE-OUT connections, AMP-IN, dual configurable subwoofer outputs and two speaker zones provide substantial flexibility for advanced stereo systems.
Yes. The preamplifier stage uses two ECC81/12AT7 tubes, while the power amplifier section uses transistor-based Class A/B amplification.
Yes. The built-in RIAA phono preamplifier supports both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges.
Yes. The AMP-IN connection allows a compatible AV receiver or surround processor to control the front left and right channels while the A12 APEX supplies the power amplification.
Bluetooth is optional through the Advance Paris A-BTC adapter. The A-BTC supports Bluetooth reception from compatible source devices and can also transmit audio to compatible Bluetooth headphones.
