Hybrid tube / solid-state flagship • 190W × 2 into 8Ω • ESS9039 DAC • MM/MC phono & HDMI eARC
The Advance Paris A12 APEX sits at the top of the APEX integrated range, combining a tube preamp stage with a powerful Class A/B dual-mono output section. Delivering up to 190 watts per channel into 8 Ω and 292 watts into 4 Ω, it has the headroom and current to control demanding loudspeakers while preserving finesse and low-level detail. A next-generation ESS9039 DAC, MM/MC phono stage, and HDMI eARC turn the A12 APEX into a one-box hub for vinyl, high-res digital, and TV audio in serious two-channel systems.
Dual toroidal transformers and High-Bias operation underscore its role as a true reference integrated for large rooms and revealing speakers.
Hybrid preamp section — Two ECC81 / 12AT7 tubes in the preamplifier stage add dimensionality, body, and harmonic richness.
Class A/B with High-Bias — Switchable High-Bias mode extends Class A behavior to higher output levels for smoother texture at real-world volumes.
Dual-mono power supply — Two 280 VA toroidal transformers feed separate left/right channels for better separation and current delivery.
ESS9039 DAC platform — Handles up to 24-bit/192 kHz PCM on all digital inputs and DSD via USB, with AES/EBU, coaxial, optical, and USB-B onboard.
Connectivity for complex systems — Eight analog inputs (including 2 × XLR and MM/MC phono), eight digital inputs, PRE OUT (RCA & XLR), 2 × Sub-Out, AMP-IN, and dual headphone jacks.
The A12 APEX is aimed at listeners building a reference two-channel system—especially in larger rooms or with power-hungry speakers—who want vinyl, digital, and TV audio all handled by one integrated amplifier.
Not necessarily. The onboard ESS9039 DAC and MM/MC phono stage are capable enough for many high-end systems. You can always add external separates later for system tuning.
Yes. Connect your TV via HDMI eARC for one-cable audio and CEC volume control, and use AMP-IN if you want the A12 APEX to act as a power amp for front channels in a multichannel system.
Wireless streaming is available via the optional A-BTC Bluetooth module, which supports aptX HD / low-latency and can also send audio to compatible Bluetooth headphones.
