The Acoustic Energy AE320² Floorstanding Speaker (Pair) is the range-topping floorstander in the redesigned 300 Series, combining a three-way driver array with technology developed during Acoustic Energy’s flagship Corinium project. Designed for medium-to-large listening rooms, the AE320² delivers high sensitivity, deep bass extension and expansive scale while maintaining the clarity, timing and energetic musical character associated with Acoustic Energy loudspeakers.
A dedicated 120mm midrange driver and two 140mm bass drivers use newly developed paper and coconut-fibre cones for a balance of stiffness, low mass and natural damping. These drivers are paired with a Corinium-derived 29mm soft-dome tweeter and installed in an 18mm constrained-layer RSC MDF/bitumen cabinet. Rear slot and midrange ports, aluminum outrigger feet and supplied spike covers complete a carefully engineered design built for stable imaging, clean dynamics and room-filling performance.
Paper and Coconut-Fibre Drivers — The Acoustic Energy AE320² Floorstanding Speaker (Pair) uses cone material developed through research from the Corinium project. Paper provides a naturally balanced tonal character, while coconut fibres reinforce the cone to improve stiffness and help reduce unwanted breakup modes.
29mm Soft-Dome Tweeter with WDT Waveguide — The newly developed fabric-dome tweeter uses a neodymium ring magnet, a vented and copper-shielded pole structure, and a contoured rear chamber filled with graded absorption material. Acoustic Energy’s Wide Dispersion Technology waveguide helps control baffle diffraction and maintain a broad listening area.
RSC Constrained-Layer Cabinet — The enclosure uses 18mm MDF combined with a bitumen damping layer to form Acoustic Energy’s Resonance Suppression Composite construction. This constrained-layer approach reduces panel vibration and cabinet coloration so the drivers can operate against a quieter mechanical background.
Separate Midrange and Bass Porting — A rear slot-shaped duct supports the twin bass drivers while reducing turbulence and audible port noise. The dedicated midrange section is independently tuned, helping the AE320² produce an open, spacious vocal range with controlled transitions between drivers.

The AE320² is designed primarily for medium-to-large listening rooms. Its twin bass drivers, high sensitivity and substantial cabinet volume allow it to produce greater scale and low-frequency authority than the smaller models in the 300 Series.
The speaker has a 6-ohm nominal impedance, 92dB sensitivity and a rated power-handling capacity of 200 watts. A high-quality amplifier that is comfortable driving 6-ohm loudspeakers and provides appropriate clean power for the intended listening level is recommended.
Because the AE320² uses rear-facing ports, it should be given reasonable clearance from the wall behind it. Final placement will depend on room size and bass balance, so experimenting with distance, toe-in and listening position is recommended.
