The Acoustic Energy AE308 Powered Subwoofer in Black delivers deep, controlled low-frequency performance for both two-channel music systems and multichannel home theaters. Its downward-firing 12-inch high-excursion driver is powered by a robust 500-watt RMS Class D amplifier, providing the speed, authority and dynamic output needed to reproduce everything from subtle acoustic bass lines to demanding cinematic effects.
A sealed enclosure helps the AE308 maintain tight transient response, while three selectable DSP modes allow its character to be optimized for different listening applications. Music mode emphasizes balanced extension and integration, Movie mode adds additional cinematic impact, and Impact mode prioritizes maximum output for high-energy playback. Finished in Piano Gloss Black, the compact cubic enclosure integrates visually with Acoustic Energy’s matching 300 Series loudspeakers.
