THX Select2 Certified • Dual 10" Long-Throw Woofers • Push-Pull Driver Configuration • 350-Watt Amplifier • 650-Watt Peak Output • 20Hz–200Hz Frequency Response • Balanced XLR and RCA Connectivity
The M&K Sound X10 THX Select2 Certified Subwoofer delivers powerful, controlled low-frequency performance for dedicated home theaters, media rooms, and high-performance music systems. Engineered around M&K Sound’s push-pull driver architecture, the X10 uses two long-throw 10-inch woofers to reduce distortion and reproduce demanding bass effects with exceptional precision.
THX Select2 certification verifies the X10’s ability to meet strict output, distortion, and frequency-response requirements for medium-sized home theaters. M&K Sound specifies the X10 for rooms up to approximately 2,000 cubic feet with a viewing distance of roughly 10 to 12 feet.
A built-in amplifier delivers 350 watts into 4 ohms with up to 650 watts of peak output. The M&K Sound X10 THX Select2 Certified Subwoofer also provides balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections, selectable THX and M&K equalization, adjustable phase, flexible crossover settings, and pass-through outputs for integrating multiple subwoofers.
Push-Pull Driver Architecture — The X10 uses two 10-inch woofers operating in a push-pull arrangement. Because the drivers move in mechanically opposite directions, nonlinear distortion generated by one driver is partially canceled by the other.
Sealed-Enclosure Control — The acoustic-suspension cabinet supports fast transient response, predictable roll-off, and controlled bass without the port noise or delayed energy associated with some vented designs.
THX Bass Equalization — The THX EQ setting shapes the subwoofer’s low-frequency response to meet THX requirements, extending output to 20Hz at the specified free-field reference point.
M&K Anechoic EQ — The alternate M&K EQ setting slightly reduces the deepest bass output, which may provide a more suitable balance for music playback or placement in smaller rooms.
Flexible Bass Management — The M&K Sound X10 THX Select2 Certified Subwoofer offers a bypass mode for processors with internal bass management, a fixed 80Hz low-pass setting, and an adjustable low-pass filter for systems without a dedicated crossover.
No. M&K Sound’s official documentation identifies the X10 as THX Select2 certified. The larger X12 is the THX Ultra2-certified model.
