15.2-Channel Processing • 11 Amplified Channels • 140W Main-Channel Power • Dolby Atmos & DTS:X • ARC Genesis Room Correction • HDMI 2.0b 4K Video • Dual Independent Subwoofer Outputs
The Anthem MRX 1140-4K A/V Receiver combines high-performance surround processing, eleven channels of onboard amplification and Anthem's advanced ARC Genesis room-correction platform in a powerful centerpiece for immersive home theater. With processing for up to 15.2 channels, the MRX 1140 can support sophisticated Dolby Atmos and DTS:X speaker layouts while providing enough internal amplification for a complete 7.1.4 system without requiring additional power amplifiers.
This original 4K-generation MRX 1140 uses Anthem's HDMI 2.0b video platform for compatible 4K sources and should not be confused with the later MRX 1140 8K model. Beyond surround processing, the receiver provides independent dual-subwoofer control, flexible amplifier-channel assignment, network control, wireless music streaming and extensive preamp connectivity for systems that may later be expanded with external Anthem power amplification.
Anthem Room Correction Genesis — ARC Genesis uses calibrated acoustic measurements and sophisticated filtering to address room-induced frequency-response problems while preserving the natural character of the loudspeakers.
11-Channel Amplifier Architecture — The MRX 1140 combines five higher-powered amplifier channels with six additional channels, giving installers the flexibility needed for sophisticated immersive-audio configurations.
Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Processing — Object-based surround processing creates three-dimensional sound fields with compatible height and overhead speakers for movies, television and immersive music.
Flexible Amp Matrixing — Internal amplifier channels can be assigned according to system requirements, while the extensive preamp outputs make it possible to add external amplification as a system grows.
This listing is for the original MRX 1140 4K model. It uses Anthem's HDMI 2.0b platform and supports 4K video. The later MRX 1140 8K uses an updated HDMI 2.1 video board.
