The Parasound JC1+ Mono-block Amplifier in Silver (Each) is Parasound’s ultra-high-performance monoblock for listeners who want massive power, extraordinary control, and the finesse to reveal the smallest musical details. Designed by John Curl, it combines ultra-high-bias Class A/AB operation, immense current capability, independent power supplies for critical stages, and a chassis built to perform at a reference level with demanding loudspeakers.
For systems built around premium loudspeakers and serious front-end components, this is the kind of amplifier engineered to remain composed, spacious, and effortlessly dynamic even at very high drive levels.
Ultra-high-bias Class A/AB topology — the JC 1+ is engineered to preserve the sweetness and liquidity associated with Class A while retaining the power and efficiency advantages of Class AB when the music demands more.
Serious power supply architecture — a 2.1 kVA shielded toroid transformer, six 33,000uF Nichicon Gold Tune filter capacitors for the output stage, and a separate 22,400uF input-stage supply all contribute to the amplifier’s tremendous grip and composure.
High-speed, high-current output stage — 24 beta-matched bipolar output transistors, a MOSFET driver stage, JFET input stage, and peak current capability of 180 amps give the amplifier the ability to react instantly and cleanly to demanding transients.
Refinement-enhancing details — Bybee Music Rails™, direct-coupled signal paths, DC servo and relay protection circuits, hyper-fast soft-recovery bridge diode rectifiers, and premium parts throughout all support the amplifier’s reference ambitions.
In a carefully assembled system, the JC 1+ is built to deliver huge dynamic swings, deep bass authority, and the sort of dimensional realism that defines statement-level amplification.
