The M&K Sound IW85 In-Wall Speaker (Each) delivers detailed, full-range sound from a compact architectural loudspeaker designed to integrate cleanly into walls or ceilings. A 5.25-inch polypropylene bass/midrange driver and 1-inch soft-fabric-dome tweeter reproduce dialogue, music and movie effects with the neutral tonal balance associated with M&K Sound loudspeakers.
Suitable for two-channel music, home theater, surround sound and immersive audio systems, the IW85 can be combined with M&K Sound in-wall, on-wall and satellite speakers for a consistent sonic match. Its rigid metal baffle, secure mounting system and paintable metal grille provide a stable installation while keeping the finished system visually unobtrusive.
5.25-Inch Polypropylene Bass/Midrange Driver — The lightweight, rigid cone delivers articulate vocals, controlled midbass and accurate midrange reproduction for music and home theater.
1-Inch Soft-Fabric-Dome Tweeter — The high-frequency driver provides smooth treble, precise detail and clear dialogue without sounding excessively bright.
Rigid Metal Front Baffle — The drivers are mounted to a solid metal baffle that provides a stable platform and helps minimize vibration and unwanted coloration.
Self-Locking Mounting System — Integrated metal mounting bars secure the speaker firmly to the wall or ceiling, while the magnetic metal grille creates a clean finished appearance.
Yes. This listing includes one M&K Sound IW85 speaker. Two speakers are required for a conventional stereo pair.
Yes. The IW85 is designed for both in-wall and in-ceiling applications, including distributed audio, surround sound and immersive overhead channels.
Yes. Its compact architectural design makes it suitable for side-surround, rear-surround and overhead applications when positioned according to the selected surround format.
M&K Sound recommends an amplifier rated between 25 and 200 watts per channel that is compatible with a nominal 4-ohm loudspeaker load.
Speaker wire, amplification, installation tools and construction materials are sold separately.
